After the Counting…

I am happy that the highest office in the land has already been decided with a clear and overwhelming mandate. From day one, the success of his campaign has been as important to me as the success of my own.

I have instructed my lawyers to gather records and evidence, and to study and prepare towards the possibility of filing an electoral protest. We have 30 days to do this. I owe it to our people to ensure that the electoral process will truly be an instrument of their will.

Beyond anything else, the Filipino people may rest assured that I stand firmly on the principle that has guided my entire political career: Country above self.

Bayan bago sarili. This principle will be my bedrock as I work to ensure that that the agenda for reform that President-Elect Noynoy Aquino and I painstakingly laid out will push through.

Let us all rally behind the leadership of President-elect Noynoy Aquino. It is my sincere prayer that the change our candidates swore to bring about in the campaign will be fulfilled. It is my pledge to continue to do everything within my power to support the people’s agenda under an Aquino administration.

In the same manner that we voted for Noynoy as President we also voted for Mar as Vice President because we believe that we can trust our national government to their leadership absent the CORRUPTION factor to bring about good governance for the upliftment of quality of life of all the Filipinos. We know deep in our heart that Noy and Mar won.

Mar, we love you. walang iwanan hanggang sa susunod na laban. LALABAN TAYO! thank you for inspiring me, all of us. You are still my idol. :)

  • Kristin

    Dear Sir Mar,

After reading the yahoo philipines I cried. I immediately look for your website and look for your blogs.

  • Nini Inumerable

I'm hoping all the null votes for vice president can still be counted!

  • Anne

We support you in the electoral protest! Ipaglaban ang katotohanan!
I do hope the issue on null votes be resolved quickly. Godbless! :D

  • Walter

    Hello Mar,

I did hope you won over Binay. Since it has been decided, I hope you try to achieve unity whatever the result of the electoral protest. This country needs it. Whoever the VP is, I am sure we can try to do our best in our own part. As what your site's slogan goes, “country over self.” You are an honorable man, after stepping down for Noy. Please don't lose that quality.

  • Jun Cacho

    Bayan bago sarili.

Marami kang kasama sa paninidigan na ito.

Noon, pinagbigyan mo si Noynoy sa kandidatura. Not a few frowned at the 'political correctness' of your decision.

You may not be proclaimed as Vice President-elect at this time, but millions salute your principle of governance — Country above self. Marami kaming kasama mo.

null- having no effect; devoid of effects; void

.mukhang di kayo napayagan ng comelec dahil masyadong general yung NULL votes (could be over voting, no vote at all, under shaded).

  • Pro-GoodGovernance

Why did I put CORRUPTION in capital letters? Simply because of President Noynoy's campaign ads, kung walang corrupt, walang mahirap. President Noy can dig deep into this and look at the COA report against Binay in realtion to the ghost purchase of an X-ray machine worth millions of pesos, not found at station, and disowned by the alleged supplier where it was allegedly purchased. The same COA report showed exceptionally high prices compared to the prevailing prices. If Binay could do monkey business in Makati, he could also do this to the entire country. Binay is simply CORRUPT that the poor COA auditor had to tremble in fear clasping always a rosary in her hands because of threats to the auditor's life. Copies of the said COA report were furnished to then Usec. Abenina of DILG and then DFA Sec. Guingona, the auditor in the company of supporters from Graft Free Philippines. Binay would be a cause for alarm in the Aquino presidency due to CORRUPTION and WRONG doings. We fear Binay, he might bring our country down. Binay could not be doing the ghost purchase of X-ray if not for GREED and MORALLY wrong state of mind. Let the Filipino people beware of Binay. This has to come out for the skae of the welfare of the Filipinos.

  • kungfupandaH

mar, i am deeply saddened that you are not our vp. it's a big loss to the country. but as you said, winning or losing the position will not change what you have already been doing. God bless. stay focused and hold head high.

Alam Mo Mr. John Ray Miedes, Siple lang itong election na ito. 1986 People Power at Inilagay ni Corry si Boyscout sa Makati as OIC na nilakad ni Cong. Jose”Peping” Cojuangco. Sa totoo lang ay before 1986, considered Bodyguard or bata ni babalo si Negro “kaya magkasundo sila ni NOgNog Nograles eh”
Anyway, The Patriarch has a lot of influence to his Nephew to a point that they would rather have a TRAPO, na may utang na loob sa Familya nila Noynoy.
To save this country, President Elect Benigno Aquino III should be pesonally involve in making sure na hindi MADAYA si MAR ng mga Mandaraya! From: The Brains of them all Ronnie Puno to the order ni Tito Peping! Its easier to control a former body Guard/Boyscout/Mayor or as they say Tao ko Yaan! Mahirap ata Ma control lapag ang Vice is a Smart Atenean, Wharton Graduate and has a blood line or pedegree of Honest, Respected and Honorable leanage from President Manuel Roxas, Senator Gerardo Roxas on one side and Don Amado Araneta, Liberal leader Judy Araneta -Roxas on the other.
Kaya, The DOWN FALL OF NOYNOY WILL BE IN THE SHADOWS OF BINAY! except at night at hindi siya Makita! ;-)

  • magmamanman

  • The Evil One

I am utterly pleased that you are NOT the VP of this country. You have done nothing thus far but destroy good paying jobs in this country (think pharma, especially branded generic pharma jobs). In fact the ridiculous MDRP has been nothing but good for the multinationals. Now i see you're “mulling an electoral protest”. Here's my advise, you LOST fair and square, give it up there's nothng worse than a sore loser. That fact that you were streets ahead and lost to Binay really says something. Like, for example, get out of politics, who wants you!?

    Hi, Philippines
Greetings on a lovely day with a newly mandated president Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III for the country.
As any student of change management and transformational leadership knows, change is full of pain and suffering specially for the change agent, who usually is dispensed with, after the initial change happens. It always happens.
You are a noble person. We will always admire and remember your sense of self sacrifice. May God grant you and Korina Sanchez the deepest desires of your one heart.
In the meantime, please read http://knol.google.com/k/josephine-acosta-pasri...
I hope the research work can help the country.

    Mar,

  • Roxanne

    Hi Mar,

Thank you so much for the inspiring campaign. Just like you, I am very proud of our newly elect President Noynoy Aquino. I am sure his agenda on change and corruption will take effect because he is a very sincere person.

Whatever happens to your political career.. I am still here to support you. Lalaban tayo ulit Mar! Salamat!

  • Earthdust_jara

  • Mila_quintos

I am one of Mar's supporters and I campaigned all the way for Noy-Mar.

I have just one observation about the automated election. I have the impression that once I saw the words “Congratulations” on the PCOS machine then my vote was cast and my ballot is valid and therefore readable. Why is it then that 3,000,000 votes which is 8% of the total number of votes were nullified but we did not here anyone complaining that his vote was rejected by the PCOS machine. The media could have at least cited a few who complained that their votes were not accepted by the machine. But 3,000,000 ballots were nullified. Does this mean that even you received “congratulations” it was still no guarantee that our votes would be counted?

    Mila

  • Nolisalido

I can see on the eyes of Binay, ang pagiging traidor niya.

Watch your back Noynoy!

  • Ria Sagarino

Don't thank God Binay and all other politicians na nanalo, nag vote buying kayo! Traidor na gawain ito!

  • Tau Sug

A few days before the election Danding called Zamboanga Del Norte kingpin Tony Cerilles who ran under the administration party with Gibo. Danding tipped ZaNorte to go Noy-Bi to the tune of 20M… Ting Cojuanco comb Mindanao for Noy but never campaigned for Mar, but the fact is she dealt and supported Binay people, kelangan pa ba imemorize yan! Mar you slept with the enemy! Binay's vote buying spree came with Noy-Bi poocket calendars, impossible to think that no Cojuanco money went into the spree… My fear is that Noy will give DILG to Binay, then on 2016 he'll do a Cory, where instead of endorsing party mate Monching Mitra, she supported FVR. Chromosomes have memories!!!!

  • Mollysims14

So glad you deleted the comment of theevilone. So sad about how the VP race turned out.I am in mourning.Binay is VP, his son is mayor and his daughter is a congresswoman (what the heck!).

Mar, I am very disappointed that some quarters of your support group slept with the enemy and junk you in favor of Jojo Binay. I have this mixed feeling, Happy that our candidate for president won with a clear and overwhelming mandate from our people. Disappointed and shocked over the electoral loss of our beloved kasimanwa. Mar always bear in mind that you run a terrific and very inspiring campaign and that your province mates here in Panay is truly proud of your accomplishment. The lost is not ours but to those people who betrayed the cause for reform and good governance. God bless you mar! and I hope to see you soon in future electoral contest. You are the best hope of the Illongo's for the presidency.

  • Capiznon

You had our support ever since you ran for congress in the fist district of Capiz. We know that you know whats happening in Capiz. We've been waiting for almost 25 years and only one man had the job done right and you know who's that man. We don't want Drug Lords to rule and lead Capiz. We are very disappointed that the LIBERAL party supports this kind of people here. We only want one thing, and that is Progress for Capiz.

  • Apolinario_mabini

  • T-toy

    Tau sug, gud pm,
tama ka, i'm 100% with your opinion.
like what cory did, after all the sacrifices of doy,
naging “panahon-panahon” lang ang nangyari. at binaliktad nila lahat ng kay marcos, specially the good ones. i was against the marcoses, but in fairness, there were a FEW good things he did, even those binaboy, parang sila lang ang meron Righteousness. and where did it get us.
in reality i did not vote for noynoy, because of doubt and the families track record. BUT I CAMPAIGNED HARD for Mar.
I was affected by CARP dito sa negros, pero ok lang sana if it was fair. si cory gumawa ng law, pero ang kanilang luisita indirectly EXEMPTED.
so WHAT CAN WE REALLY EXPECT FROM NOY???
your guess is as good as mine…
    BLOODLINE….

  • T-toy

    Bakit mayabang????

  • Apolinario_mabini

    T-toy

sige lang. ngak ngak ka lang. lol

yan napapala ng nagbibilang ng itlog agad. kala lagi sigurado panalo, ayan nautas…lol

again.. yabang kasi eh. ayan nasupalpal

History repeast itself, Doy Laurel gave up his presidental ambition for Cory Aquino with the promise of becoming the prime minister x Nagawa naman, Doy Laurel was declared Prime minister sa morning tapos sa hapon cancelled na kasi ibinalik ni Cory sa democratic form of goverment kaya wala rin. Mar Roxas gave up his presidental bid for Noynoy Aquino but worse di pa sya nanalo sa pagka bise presidente x Ginamit lang ang machinery nya nila Noynoy and party tapos nilaglag pa x Talagang michavillian stretegy ( Traidoran Strategy ) x anyway kay Mar pa rin ako x alam ko in my heart sya ang nanalo x kilala ba si Binay sa Mindanao?

  • Noli Salido of Aklan

sen. mar roxas is a best example of politicians, why? nagpaubaya siya kay noynoy para hindi mahati ang liberal party. pero ang ginanti sa kanya (mar roxas) at last minute of campaign nilaglag siya ni noynoy at liberal party. kita naman natin sa tv ads ni sen. escudero. sa mga sticker sa cars at poster sa mga highways.
sen mar is a great filipino. we proud of you.

  • Reminder of truth

The person hiding under the name of Apolinario mabini mirrors his disrespect for the name of the great hero and in return makes himself guilty of his accusations. The truth, however, could not be hidden behind the name of the hero. If he speaks for Binay, we could liken him to Pastor Boy Saycon sitting beside Binay. Saycon or Binay, they should not be trusted if we speak of the welfare of the Filipinos. The government should be careful of these people. Are they the exponent of the greater good? Surely, they are not, only personal interests. By their pronouncements, we shall know them. Let the TRUTH come out, as well as their real COLOR. Wolves in sheep's skin, we remind the Filipino people before they create uncontrolled damage. Expose the truth about them.

  • Truth will expose deceit

We still believe the best working partnership is Noy and Mar. Binay is GREED and CORRUPTION. Expose the TRUTH in Makati and the Filipino people will avoid him. Binay could not forever hide the TRUTH of the bad side of his Makati governance he is trying to cover.

  • Concernedcitizen

Before vying for a bigger responsibility of our country, why won't you take a look at your hometown Roxas City, Capiz. Sa lahat ng lugar that I have been to here in my country, so far, Roxas City is the POOREST CITY I know. It is SUPPOSED to be the seafoods capital of the Philippines. So it should be well-developed and well-progressive pero hindi. I wonder if you have done a thing in your Roxas City. This is your very own place. Why won't you do something?? How could you expect to serve the whole nation better if you haven't done it in your hometown.???

  • Concernedcitizen

How I wish Mar Roxas were able to read your post here. I feel bad for Capiz as well. I hope he will spend an effort to develop Capiz into a progressive province. Sana marunong syang tumanaw ng utang na loob sa mga Capiznon na sumusuporta sa kanya eversince he ran for public office.

  • Darlingaga

Dear Mar, we feel the pain that you are suffering right now, but still we believe that you can still make it if you file an electoral protest. From day 1 till the last survey you are ahead of Binay, this is just to proved that you are the choices of the Filipino people. fight the good fight. We are behind you.

  • Capiznon

Yes concerned citizen. We are very upset here in Capiz sa ginagawa ni Mr. Palengke. There were a few good men who tried to build Capiz for the better of the City and its people. Pero hindi nya pa sinupportahan. Kinalaban nya pa! Worst is because he supported a party na puro sabungero, sugarol at mga drug lord ang tumakbo. Our Liberal party here in CAPIZ is not the LP that we usually expect. Na MARANGAL daw at may INTEGRIDAD. LP here does not practice positive campaigning and very much wala silang INTEGRIDAD na tinatawag. Thats the reason why our Local party here supported Mayor BINAY. Dahil may NAGAWA sya sa MAKATI. Eh si MAR? Kelan pa kaya? God save Capiz!!!

  • Capiznon

Thats what happend to MAR.

  • Stop Corruption

The way Concernedcitizen wrote showed his utter bias favoring Binay, or is this Binay himself, the corruption master in Makati? When Senator Mar Roxas is Vice President of the Philippines, is he neglecting Capiz and Roxas City? It is as if you are saying that Capiz and Roxas City are not part of the Philippines. Pa concerned-concerned pa kunwari. Actually, you are insinuating parochial and selfish mentality, hindi pangkalahatan for the whole country. How selfish an attitude. Ask the proud Binay his formula in making the Philippines like Makati and that formula will apply to Capiz and Roxas City, kung hindi sa kayabangan niya to fool the people. Our beloved President-elect Noynoy Aquino, simple lang na tao ngunit totoong lider, is still right in his choice for the Noy-Mar partnership, and we voted for them together. We are very much afraid with the astute Binay, biro mo unahan pa niya ang Pangulo with his choice for the DILG post as Secretary, para madagdagan ang galamay niya sa corruption. Lalabas pa rin ang katotohanan about Binay, dahil kung corrupt talagang corrupt, and the fight against it is the centerpiece of the Noy-Mar tandem, their commitment to the Filipino people.

COUNTRY ABOVE SELF…a slogan that should define the new administration; one with a clear vision to alleviate poverty; a presidency with the political will to overhaul a patronage-driven politics; and a clean leadership with a strong commitment to democracy and good governance.

COUNTRY ABOVE SELF… Investigating the flaws of the first automated elections is the correct step in strengthening Philippine democracy. Investigation is not about pursuing personal ambitions. In a functioning democracy, every vote is sacred and attempts to thwart the true will of the people, either by omission, intimidation, or vote-buying, should be exposed with determination and punished with resolve as these acts have no place in a democratic society.

COUNTRY ABOVE SELF… It takes courage to seek the truth. One has to be brave to face the public who will accuse you of sour-graping once the investigation is pursued. People will force you to accept what is because they say the system works in a certain way; Friends will also convince you to abandon the battle and move forward; or simply forget what happened.

COUNTRY ABOVE SELF… But defying the conventional is the ultimate self-sacrifice. “Why not,” said John F. Kennedy. If Congress failed to investigate the nulled votes in aid of legislation, who will take up the cudgels in behalf of the dis-enfranchised Filipino people?

Sadly, the responsibility to fight for the silent majority rests only on the few who are prepared to fully surrender one’s ambition for the sake of leading this nation towards the right path.

We all know that Binay cheated the election. I reported to HQ a few days before the elections, my conversation with a friend connected with the BIR who was assigned to be part of the election audit. I asked him if the PICOS can be cheated and he said that its virtually impossible, he however said that SMARTRMATIC and COMELEC may lower the threshhold which will make the machine read less votes. He said this can be used in effect to cheat in the bailiwicks of certain candidates so less votes will be counted to their favor. Apparently, Binay availed this extra service from the COMELEC and SMARTMATIC.
Even with this, somehow, I am adamant to suggest the filing of electoral protest. Simply because, I dont think that it will prosper, it'll just be a waste of time and resources, believe me, even if we get a favorable result it will be so expensive and very long process… Better to save up for 2013 elections, where MAR should run for senator to build up momentum for the 2016 presidential elections. We can not afford to let MAR drift into political oblivion..

tama po kayo stop corruption mar did not abandoned Capiz nagkataon lang kasi ang makati malaki ang taxes na pumapasok kaya nga din yumaman c binay don at pinagyayabang pa nya ang makati yan c concernedcitizen na22log yata sa kangkungan yan……..je je je…..

I salute you VICE PRESIDENT ( for us you will be that ). We will always help you rebuild the Philippines to its GLORY

You said and I quote, “Country first before self!” You are not sincere with this promise. You are not honoring the decision of the majority. There should be oneness and unity among all, especially with the opposition. If you remained to be the candidate for President, you would not have won anyway. It could have been Erap as President. With the way you are conducting yourself, all the more you will never be President of this country!. Binay can be an asset of President Noynoy if given the chance. He is sincere in uplifting the lives of the Filipinos as envisioned by P-Noy!

  • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/H5WTAFIJQIBO3QK7ZVYJ4DWTKU MJH

Wake up! You should put sincerity in your promise, “Country first before self!” Binay clearly won and accept the decision of the majority. Stop blocking the vision of President Noy in uniting the Filipino people. Learn to work with all parties towards the upliftment of the Filipino people. If Noy didn't run and you were candidate for President, you would not have won because Binay would have run for President if Noynoy didn't run. Di talo ka rin. The way you are now conducting yourself, you will NEVER be President of our country. God bless you and the Philippines.

  • T-toy

Binay was aiming for that position DAHIL, it gives you connections and clout to Mayors and Governors of the country, that way he is preparing for 2016.
AS IF HE DID) diba Peping suppprted Binay together with Boy Saycon.

Mar, i suggest go ahead and still file the electoral protest, for the main purpose of being RIGHTEOUS, because that is the real you. And at the same time to expose the anomalies of the automated elections. It's not really for your own benefit, since the courts will take FOREVER in handing down a decision, BUT for the BETTERMENT of the FUTURE elections. The fringe benefits you will get here is officially knowing that you won.

Good luck, and i continue to pray for you, and FERVENTLY HOPE that YOU will be our next president, come 2016.

    One Big Fight!!!

    Mar,

    File that protest!!!
Automated elections is not bad per se, it just has to be more transparent, specially the EARLY preparations wherein NAWALA yung ibang safeguards dahil sa madalian na.

Kaya FIGHT, and file the protest.

Is Binay putting country above self when in Makati Binay was putting himself first before Makati. We have read the COA report of on ghost purchase of X-ray machine. We were informed that signatories to this ghost transaction are women serving the churches around Makati adorned expensive jewelry. Medicines are pruchased with bloated prices including the materials used for the Makati city hall. Have that COA report read by the Filipino people and see if they will vote for Binay. I fBinay can fool the people of Makati, he could not fool the whole Filipino nation. And with Pastor Boy Saycon, also a corrupt fellow seen sitting beside Binay on television, we could only say that birds of the same feather flock together. We know Pastor Boy Saycon, how corrupt he is. Oneness and unity with Binay is making a fool of the government to his evil and corrupt design. Binay is actually a black mark to damage the good memory of our dear President Cory. Imagine, he was heard saying there is no more need for barangay elections, very damaging to our democratic form of government. Binay is not an asset, Binay is actually corrupt. Mar has a name to protect for real good governance. People of Makati said, if you want to know the real Binay how corrupt he is, talk to the real estate developers, of condominiums of Makati, and he will always have units for himself and his family. Is this good governance? Is Binay possessing the qualities of a true presidentiable? Too bad for the country. Gusto pa niya sa DILG, buti na lang hindi natuloy, kasi ang lalabas dyan GREED for power and tentacles of corruption madagdagan niya to his advantage. Binay cannot fool the Filipino people all the time. Tingnan na lang natin kung paano ni Binay matago ang skeletons in his closet now that the whole Philippines is watching him.

Tama ang komento mo john ray miedes. Yan ang comments based on facts hindi kagaya ng mga pumuna sa komento mo na pawang kathang-isip. Allow me to expound:

    John Ray’s comments:
Plataporma – fact. can easily be verified.
    Definition of null – fact.

    Ana King’s comments:
taxes in Makati – tumpak. But the fact that businesses remain in Makati is a testament to Makati’s leader – Mabuhay ka Jojo Binay!

    magmamanman comments:

If Aquino did not run, it would have been a toss between Roxas-Villar-Estrada, not Binay.

You also need to check the incorruptibility (or absence thereof??) of Jojo Binay before pointing an accusing finger to Mr. Senator Roxas.

In ways we both can know and imagine, Binay and Roxas have done things, great things for this nation.

For us, we have no doubt on the COA report about Binay we have read. Ask the realty developers in the Makati area, especially of condominium units, at lumalabas ang baho ni Binay, his appetite for material wealth and insatiable greed for power.

Of our dear President Noynoy and Mar partnership, we feel confident that there is an unwritten agreement to support each other for good governance that would gain the support and trust of the Filipino citizens for the progress of our country with our unconditional support, kasi hindi rin nila kaya kung sila lang.

Of Binay, he should be categorized with Pastor Boy Saycon (we doubt if his students in a private high school would be proud of him as his name is synonymous with many anomalies) and Jocelyn Jocjoc Bolante, who ironically was honored by a university as an outstanding alumnus, what a shame.
There is a lesson here, when greed controls a man's inner motive, he becomes a caloused individual at hindi na nahihiya sa pangurakot at masasamang gawa. Ang tanong, would the end justify the means?
We pray that God protect our country, our leaders and our people. We pray that those who are still attracted to to greed and selfish motives, tunawin sila sa kahihiyan, at magbagong buhay na and to embrace the truth.

Now that your electoral protest has finally been filed, I would like to share this note written by a member of Friends of Mar, my friend , Tetchi Capellan June 15 at 8:51am.
COUNTRY ABOVE SELF… this is the slogan that should define the Noy administration; one with a clear vision to alleviate poverty; a presidency with the political will to overhaul a patronage-driven politics; and a clean leadership with a strong commitment to democracy and good governance.
COUNTRY ABOVE SELF…Investigating the flaws of the first automated elections is the correct step in strengthening Philippine democracy. it is not about pursuing one's personal ambition. every vote is sacred and attempts to thwart the true will of the people, either by intimidation or vote-buying, should be reviewed with determination as it has no place in a democratic society.
COUNTRY ABOVE SELF…Search for the truth takes courage. you will be accused of sour-graping; you will be forced to accept what is because they will say the system is what it is; they will push you not to look back..only to move forward and ignore what happened.
COUNTRY ABOVE SELF.. Defying the conventional is the ultimate personal sacrifice. “Why not,” says John F. Kennedy. If congress failed to investigate in aid of legislation, who will take the cudgels in behalf of the Filipino people..
Sadly, this responsibility rests only on the few who are prepared to surrender one's ambition for the sake of leading this nation towards the right path.

We did not hear much from Senator Mar these days but we just hope that he is in constant communication with our dear President Noy Aquino for real good governance that translates to better quality of life for our countrymen especially the marginalized through various programs. We only have to get our acts together as Filipinos for the greater good of our country. We know that it is only by working together that we we will be able to attain the synergy and the momentum for national development. The President could not do it alone. The people do not want to hear of alleged factions from people within the government for selfish motives that tend to erode the people’s confidence in the government and destroy the gains that start to inch forward. We should put more effort and meaning to actualize servant leadership even if we have to sacrifice a little to push the wheel of development forward. We need not reinvent the wheel. Good governance practices that put premium on superior performance, transparency and accountability need to be replicated to bring about an archipelago of best practices. There is no time for procrastination as time is gold, too precious to waste for unproductive pursuits. St. Teresa of Avila said that with God we can accomplish much. With God we would not be found wanting in anything, she emphasized. And prayers too coupled with good works could spell the difference. Let us place ourselves with the poorest of the poor this Christmas season and discern what is best for our country. Do we make ourselves accessible tothe poorest of the poor and to the people in need? Or the power and authority have capsulized us into our comfort zones? How true indeed that there is much work to be done but the laborers are few. We have to move on with a conviction for the greater good.

Why are some people posting here spam and irelevant messages? Will this help Senator Mar Roxas pursue good goverance reforms for our beloved country? Where is their sense of nationalism and pride for being Filipinos? What can they do to support their leaders? We still believe in the Noynoy Aquino and Mar Roxas team for the good of the country. We hope that President Noynoy and Mar Roxas will still continue their good governance advocacy, free from corruption and selfish interests. The time for our country to attain unity and economic progress is NOW. Please help our country. No more time for TRASH and TALANGKA mentality.

We would like to share in this blog for the good former Senator Mar Roxas that there is now reason for Binay to tremble of the ghost purchase, say of a supposed X-ray machine in Makati City, where the supposed supplier certified that the supposed x-ray unit did not emanate from their company with a fictitious serial number and already an outmoded model, plus the overpriced medicines in Makati hospital as compared to what other hospitals have purchased for the same items. Binay must be TREMBLING, just by the mention of the name of Heidi Mendoza, now in the news and headlines. We have read that COA report with copies given to former DFA Secretary Guingona and a DILG official specially assigned on anti-corruption. The gates of HELL really shakes when the anomalies of perpetrators of corruption are exposed to LIGHT. DARKNESS has no power when exposed to bright DAYLIGHT. Maybe the good former Senator Mar Roxas could get a copy of this COA report in Makati for the information of our dear President Noynoy, so that he will always distance himself from Binay, tunay na mapagkunwari and clever. ONLY GOOD GOVERNANCE will be patronized by the Filipino people. TRUTH will set us FREE. We pray that God will protect Heidi Mendoza and the Filipino people from the VENOM of corruption. Kasi gagawin ng mga perpetrators of corruption ang lahat to silence those who are against it, through DECEIT with IMPUNITY, kunwari well-behaved at mga mabubuting tao na mamuno sa kawawang bansa natin, the likes of VILLAR and BINAY, naglalaway sa pera sa di mabuting paraan.

Yes, we write and write until the idea that graft and corruption leads to destruction and decay, sad to say, not only of the Filipino nation, but including the perpetrators. Why? In corruption, there is circumvention of the law, for personal interest. While public office is a public trust, the Philippine Constitution is clear about this, and public officers and employees must always be held accountable to the people, the Constitution continues, they must do their duties and responsibilities with the highest degree of responsibility, integrity, loyalty and efficiency, and they should live modest lives, that is within their means, worthy of their place in the society as PUBLIC SERVANTS. They cannot be onion-skinned after they have even retired. For they are supposed to be living in a house made of glass, always with transparency of all their actions while they were public officers and employees. It is the most cowardice act to end one’s life in a suicide. This is always a reminder for all of us: NOBODY EVER SUCCEEDS IN BREAKING THE LAW. IF ONE EVER ATTEMPTS TO BREAK THE LAW, HE OR SHE WILL ONLY BREAK HIMSELF OR HIMSELF. Yes, nobody ever succeeds in breaking the law. That is why we tell Senator Mar Roxas to be at the side of our dear President Noynoy Aquino, guarding him from the corrupt Binay. Just talk to Heidi Mendoza, once also the COA auditor assigned to Makati City, get a copy of the audit report, which we even have the chance to read and discover what a crook they were in connivance with the other employees there: ghost purchase of X-ray machine, over-priced medicines, among many others. As we said, the gates of hell trembles when what is done in the DARK is exposed to LIGHT and TRUTH. The name of HEIDI MENDOZA would really make Binay tremble. We pray that God in his infinite mercy spare Makati and now the Filipino nation from the tentacles of Binay corruption. Mapagkunwari siya na gustong makalapit in the center of power on GOOD GOVERNANCE. Nakakahiya, nakakasuka. Could the people of Makati wake up on this and the whole Filipino nation? This is not politics, we only would like to protect the country from the tentacles of CORRUPTION.

I sent an email to mar@marroxas.com last week concerning a need for advice about a Feasibility Study that can benefit many Filipinos and that will lead to Self-Reliance in terms of Food Supply. There has been no reply so far. What is the telephone number of whoever is in charge of the Emails of Ex. Sen. Mar Roxas ?

Thank you in advance to whoever is able to help out with an accurate reply.

    Good Morning, Basil

Thank you for your call yesterday. You caught me at a time when I was on top of the mountain of Estanza which is right acroos Mayon Volcano. Fortunately, it was soonafter I had arrived from a muddy passage during a “thrilling” mountain climbing experience that almost made me slip and dive into lots of clay-type mud. There is a longer passage at the back via Legaspi City where a vehicle can travel. But that would be for business purposes. No “extra challenge” there.

I tried looking for a copy of the endorsement you mentioned by checking my emails at mct_service@yahoo.com so I could see a phone # for follow up. There was none. But I will be waiting for the copy you said I will be furnished.

If you could email me for further exchange of communication, that would be better. We’d have more privacy there than here. And you can attend to emails when the load of work is not much.

    Once again, thank you !

Read Binay’s COA audit in the city of Makati as submitted by COA auditor Heidi Mendoza on his CORRUPT PRACTICES contrary to the good governance advocacy of the Aquino administration and you will definitely find out that you are wrong with youor statement that “Binay can be an asset of President Noynoy if given the chance.” He was given the chance to serve the people of Makati but he only made them believe he is SINCERE??? but actually he was only enriching himself and building his political dynasty there, lacking true participatory processes, transparency, accountability, and many other attributes of the daang matuwid or straight path advocated by the Aquino presidency. Mapagkunwari, as in “ano ba ang akin dyan para sa bulsa ko at pamilya ko”….. CORRUPT..

KAGALANG AT MAHAL NAMING PANGULO NOYNOY

Paano mararamdaman ng simpleng Pilipino ang MATUWID NA DAAN?
Focus on one project at a time then create a system of maintenance before going
to another project. Hence I know you’re on the right track Mr. President. Your
graft and corruption drive and anti-wangwang drive on the first year is an A
grade (90%).  If all surveys be done
under this subject you’re still on unprecedented TOP. I know you have now set a
system to maintain a year to year anti-graft, anti-wangwang campaign that you
could now delegate to the proper agency.

Now, what’s next this 2nd year? It should be the
project to answer the question “ kelan maramdaman ni Juan ang uplifted economic
standard way of living. THIS CALLS STRATEGY.
Your leading by example
is very theocratic (anti-wangwang etc). Ikaw ay pinili ng Diyos huwag kang
    manghinawa.  Remember the dove that
stayed on top of your head at the celebration of Edsa signifies you are God’s
anointed. This is your greatest accomplishment this year just SET A MAINTENANCE

MAKE THE PHILIPPINES THE CALL CENTER
    AND TOURISM

                                        CAPITAL
    OF THE WORLD

                            (24
    BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR MINIMUM)

    MAHAL NAMING PANGULO

This second year FOCUS ON CALL CENTER AND TOURISM. No tax
for capitalist (in view of competition and too many college graduates with no
decent work) only employees will be taxed. Make an office for Call Center
    Secretary.  Then together with secretary
of  Tourism will be tasked together with
Philippine Embassy Commercial Attache to attract capitalist for Call Center
and Travel Agencies. They must do it aggressively and without delay after they
have presented to you the most innovative, unrefusable package to attract
investment e.g. automatic investors visa no expiration and to all their foreign
employees. This means, you delegate all the troubleshooting to Roxas.

    MAHAL NAMING PANGULO

For Call Center Capitalist they look for easiest way for
paper works go for one day process (cut the red tapes thru executive orders) so
much so with Tourism Agency. In exchange sign them up for 20 years MOUs. Give
the said companies incentives like when  they were able to send 10 Filipinos abroad to
work on their branch, send 10 employees as scholars abroad or locally for
    graduate studies. Since Philippines
is so small and Metro Manila is too congested make an EO making the CC salary
the same across the board. Provide a special avenue for this tourism and
callcenter capitalist to be active players for stocks and buying bonds for
private companies like TV, Banks, Mining, Electicity.

MAHAL NAMING PANGULO ( EO: BAWAL ANG TAMBAY)

    Make Tourism and Call
    Center as required
subject from TESDA, COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITIES so that a higher level of skill
and multi tasked PLUS foreign language in

English Proficiency (TESOL, IELTS certified), Japanese,
Korean, Spanish and Chinese and CULTURE. Hand in hand, DOE can also certify a
diploma in this specialization which is accredited to all colleges and
    universities (CHED).  Call Center
and Tourism capitalist will also like to see the INTENSITY of PEACE and order.
Hence recruit One (1) million tambays to be soldier (open application). After
their schooling and training plus experience in the military they could be
absorb in the navy, police, marine, MMDA. They should Marshall within 20kms radius surrounding
every call center and Tourism establishments 24/7 thus prevent mandurokot,
rapist, holdap. They should be visible foot patrolling 24/7. Any news about a
call center agent being violated or had an accident you yourself will make it a
point to visit the family (I know this is your father Ninoy’s heart).

Activate all kagawad of every Barangay to foot patrol their
whole barangay from 10pm to 6am to look for terrorist, drug dens, holdaper, carnapper,
    akyat bahay gang.

    MAHAL NAMING PANGULO

Invest heavily on beautifying all resorts, preserving and
beautifying historical sites make palafox head the architectural design that
would be conducive for foreigners. Maximize the roads and the place for tourists
to roam around. Promote the principle of BOT scheme or the like. Connect all
these resorts thru railway system mas mura at mas maliit ang maintenance fee
ang pag constrak kumpara sa concrete hi-way of course roro will connect
    islands.

    MAHAL NAMING PANGULO

Since nuclear power is still not a possibility although it
    is a requirement for Philippines
to be at par with our Asian neighbours; make a regional Hyrdo, Gas electric
power plants. This is where we need the help of all Filipino scientist and inventors
to come together to “move mountains” . Let them make innovations, and
inventions on how to have en efficient energy source.

Water system and sewerage must be systematized and
    centralized on every key city.

Create Tourism and Call Center Summit to feel their
heartbeat every quarter. Leave the factory work to China,
Vietnam, Indonesia because they have a very
weak labor code and low salary. We cannot compete with them. Call Center
salary is the standard salary that would fit Filipino lifestyle especially if
it’s the same in any part of the country. Kelangan pong alisin ang iba-ibang
salary ceiling between metro manila and provinces. Let us think global. Philippines is smaller than California. Make salary at least to call
center agents as the same whether province or metro. In this way, ma-decongest
ang mga over population sa Metro areas.

    MAHAL NAMING PANGULO

This and only this will set the key for investment to flow
in the country. Factories, cheap labors, and liberated laborcodes,  we cannot compete with China, Indonesia,
Vietnam, Thailand and India. But with Call Center
and Tourism, we have the greater edge.
Only one year kelangan napo itong well
turismo. After a year. Lolobo ang labor, transportation at inflation, crime,
anarchy will be next, civil war foreign war interested with Spratlys will be
    staggering, uncontrollable.

LASTLY, THESE SHOULD BE DONE QUIETLY NO MEDIA RELEASE. After
After a year. Dito palang, ang
labor shortage, minimum wage, security,  transportation,  decongestion of Metro Manila, water system,
terrorism, petty crimes, rape, drugs, carnapping, holdap, prostitution ay
    nasagot na.

After this, BUCOR problem, modernizing the navy,  modernizing the scientific way doing farming,
creating a national mimimum wage across the country to decongest, decentralized
factory, people because our country is too small to decongest in one big city.
Make the Philippines as the Global City
of the world better. Farm to market roads, green revolution, education that
encourages exchange studentship with G10 countries. Strengthening cooperative
to have their own rice manufacturing, canning, paper mills, sugar mills, paper
mills, steel mills, electricity to compete with the conglomerates; terrorism,
    crisis management will flow smoothly.
    Survey will come up naturally.

After cycle is done, revisit, review, assess, improve from
    square one again.

Our congratulations to Senator Mar on your recent appointment as DOTC Secretary.  We know that while you are DOTC Secretary, you can still do more to help President Noynoy in his advocacy for good governance – daang matuwid.  It is a pity that others are just expecting the Presidency to do everything for the country towards this daang matuwid or mabuting pamamahala (good governance), forgeting the idea that much of good governance in order to succeed needs the full support from the citizens themselves – the civil society, non-governmental organizations, business sector, religious sector, academe, teachers, students, youth, young and old, everyone in fact has to contribute in his or her own little way for the development and progress of our country. Do we ever realize that every little contribution we do to support good governance if done without ceasing will soon create the synergy of good practices to bring our country from where we are now with only islands of good practices to where we should be as an archipelago of good governance? Even at DOTC, we know that a lot needs to be done for daang matuwid to include lengthened jeepney routes to enable transport cooperatives to charge more for jeepney fares to telecom  companies that charge more compared to nighboring countries (example, in India with your 20 rupees which is just equivalent to a little over 20 pesos in the Philippines could run for more minutes of calls to Manila in contrast to P20 in Manila which could barely last for a couple of minutes if you call to New Delhi). Why can’t we make the whole archipelago be treated as one unit without long distance charges?  Why can’t we make landlines and cellphones just charge one single rate for the whole country for all the carrriers?  We heard one telecom official from Denmark who said that cellphone companies are in a better position to lower their rates than landlines that utilize tons and tons of copper wire compared to cellphone companies that utilize the airspace for free.  Yes, good governance could only move forward if we do away or rather put an end to graft and corruption. Corruption, we are reminded, has the equation:  Corruption equals monopoly plus discretion minus accountability.  It is acting with greed for selfish ends.  Of Binay, we place a big question mark on his integrity to advance daang matuwid of our dear President Noynoy’s good governance centerpiece of his administration. The people of Makati are not all blind. “Sana ang Pilipinas ay gaya ng Makati”, Binay used to say, but surely he could not fool all the Filipinos not even in the whole of Makati.  If Binay still insists that he is the magic formula for good governance, ask him.  He could not fool all the people all the time. How could we trust Binay? Perhaps, Heidi Mendoza could provide some tips. Her name makes Binay tremble, for sure.

  • pro good goverance

There is really a need for more and more Filipinos to embark on good governance to create that magic synergy to turn on the wheel of progress and development. Mother Teresa recognized the littleness or smallness of what she used to do but she persisted, so that others would follow, and she said, “sometimes we feel that what we are doing is but a drop in the ocean, but the ocean is little bit different because of that drop.”  We will always be behind our dear President Noynoy and Senator Mar.   We will always be supportive of your good governance advocacy, even after the 6-year term of  his presidency.  While you labor and toil for good governance, your load will always be light to accomplish even more. God will surely help us if we work for his greater glory. You have our prayers and our support. Your commitment to good governance is your strength and courage to move on.

  • Angelreynon

    To: Our Beloved President

You are the hope of the Filipinos and this is to ask your help that the Philippine Government should help the Filipinos as a whole.
I have been away for how many years and worked in Dubai for 8 years where Compensation Income of employees in UAE were tax free. The government have fixed taxes for businesses and the government have their own source of income to finance themselves and not taking its people income from hard labor.. Income Tax were automatically deducted by employers but employer’s taxes can be manually manipulated and will just pay our BIR employees to keeep their mouth shut and to keep their eyes closed. I am an accountant and know how some government employees do their work. Now I understand why poor are becoming poorer and the rich are becoming richer. In UAE the government owned businesses to support themselves, they owned public transport such as buses and fixed taxes to all businessmen. With this set up businessmen will not cheat invoices and receipts which is the basis of tax to be paid in the Philippines. Imagine a 15% of our salaries going to pay taxes whereas our income alone not even enough for our families. Again we are pleading that you have to give consideration for the Compensation Income of the Filipino peopleif not to redreduce  at leat to give it free for all Filipino people if other countries can why can’t we. God Bless and Meery Christmas. Please have mercy on us give our full salaries to us. We have worked hard for it and this is not even

  • Angelreynon

    To: Senator Mar

Please help us our plea to our beloved President that Compensation Income Taxes of the Filipino people be given consideration if not to eliminate it totally to at least reduce and let the government find other source to finance their budget a source that will not let the Filipino people as a whole suffer.
The President should take consideration on how other countries been able to survive of having Compensation Income tax free for his people. If this will be done or given consideration the Filipinos as a whole will be happy and the President should have separate agency to check the responsibilities of BIR I cannot imagine a simple employee pay almost 100,0000 a year of taxes and a company earning millions a year not even paying this much. Invoices and receipts were reported at a very low amount and when BIR  annual audit comes the business owners will only pay what they call SOP to BIR to let BIR shut their mouth and closed their eyes. Like any other countries business owners should be the one paying much for they are earning so much but in Philippines it is the opposite the poor employees were the one who is paying taxes that much. poor employees who cannot argue with employers whose withholding taxes from their salaries for the fear of not following what is the government enforce the company to do. So our only hope is our senators and the PrProur beloved President to check on this matter. Merry Christmas and please  hear our voice.

We have then congratulated Senator Mar when he got appointed as DOTC Secretary.  But when the well-respected DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo died whom the nation would want emulated for his good governance advocacy, we could feel that it is as if the late DILG Secretary is continuing to communicate with our dear President Noynoy to place the good Senator Mar at the helm of the DILG to continue the President’s matuwid na daan platform for the LGUs.  We beg the good Senator Mar to help President Noynoy in the DILG.  Senator Mar could really be the best choice if those being peddled are the corrupt Binay and the bad Panfilo Lacson with so many skeletons in his closet, both exemplars of bad governance but have the guts to appear meek and ek as a sheep when they are actually wolves in sheep’s skin. Let our good country men rally behind you Senator Mar as they did with the late Sec. Robredo.  Senator Mar has the integrity and credibility. You can best complement  our dear President Noynoy as DILG Secretary.

  • Anonymous

The two, Binay and Lacson, could appear to be as meek and humble as a sheep, but they are actually wolves in sheep’s skin ready to devour because of their selfish and personal agenda for power and greed.  We could not forget how this Lacson could appear too innocent o fthe kuratong baleleng rob-out when he was responsible for it.  He would want to point to other people to make the picture vague but then dead men tell no tales.  Kawawa lang ang mga namatay.  Of Binay, he is a close semblance of Villar in the realty business, a crook.  Ask those who built their condos in Makati during Binay’s and his family reign of  greed for power and weath.  The name that could make Binay tremble is Heidi Mendoza, as we know of.

  • Anonymous

We speak of integrity here, because when integrity is lost, no leader would really get the support of the people, at most they will be leading the people who would follow blindly because of fear, and they would just be reduced as people without voice, unimpowered and only the object of manipulation of these crooks. Pwe to Binay and Lacson, mga trapo in the real sense of the word… never as exponents of good governance.  Dapat maipamulat ito sa sambayanang Pilipino.

Alam namin Senator Mar that you will always heed the call for public service as a solemn duty, placing the interests of the Filipino nation above self.  Please accept the post as DILG Secretary to complement President Noy’s advocacy for matuwid na daan especially for the LGUs.   Seguro, this is God’s will na tinawag na  niya si Secretary Robredo in his heavenly home so that you will have the mandate to empower our communities for a better Philippines.  Mabuhay kayo Senator Mar.

Congratulations Senator Mar, the new DILG Secretary.  It is good to know just NOW that our dear President Noy have appointed you.  We look forward to your continuing what the late Secretary Robredo has started in the DILG for President Noy’s daang matuwid platform for our countrymen through our local governments.  We look forward to seeing our LGUs working 24/7 for a better and progressive Philippines. We know you have the capacity to complement President Noy’s vision of progressive and empowered communities through daang matuwid embraced by our LGUs.  May Secretary Robredo really be prophetic  that we are now about to see the fruits of good governance.

The slick operators of the ballot machines abetted by the conspiratorial  Makati group stole the election from Mar Roxas for vice-president and they know it. These group of politicians from Luzon think the Visayan folks are easy to take advantage of , easy to railroad, easy to cheat because they are naive snd do not have the wherewithal to fight back in a forceful way and give it back to them. The culture of  cheating and corruption is second-nature to them. In fact, in their twisted psyche, it’s not right if they can’t cheat and corrupt any endeavor that they do. And big stakes like the outcome of an election is absolutely  essential it happens.
